The worship at Shri Someshwar Temple follows the Shaiva Agama principles which are based on ancient Vedic scriptures and are followed to this day. Every morning begins with the ritual of the brahmakalash homa (an offering of flowers and water to the deity) that is performed in the temple. The pujas of the different deities Sri Someshwar, Bhadrakali, and Ganapati are conducted daily to offer worship to the divine. The temple also holds special events like yagnas, mahayagna, havan, abhishekam, and homas on the auspicious days of certain festivals. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, a special varuna japa (chanting of mantras) is held to worship Lord Someshwar. As part of the evening pooja, shevatali puja (a type of offering to appease the five elements) is also performed.
